The Art component, which includes a Mosaic Mural and Mosaic Stepping Stones is still underway, but will complete soon.

Blue Mountains City Council has engaged Cardno to assist with the preparation of a Floodplain Risk Management Study (FRMSP) and Draft Plan. This is in accordance with the New South Wales Flood Prone Land Policy.

The Risk Management Study and Plan follows on from the Flood Study, completed in 2013, which identified existing flooding behaviour in the Hazelbrook and Woodford Creek catchments.

The purpose of the Risk Management Study and Plan is to identify and recommend appropriate actions to manage flood risks in the Hazelbrook and Woodford Creek catchments.

The Australian and NSW governments are funding a 10 year, $3.6 billion road investment program for Western Sydney. The Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan will deliver major road infrastructure upgrades to support integrated transport for the region.

The Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan will make western Sydney an even better place to live and do business.

This investment will relieve pressure on existing infrastructure and unlock the economic capacity of the region by easing congestion, improving safety, access and creating thousands of local jobs.

The Plan includes the upgrade of the Ross Street and Great Western Highway intersection at Glenbrook, which was announced in March 2015.

The Draft Blue Mountains - Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan 2025 has been developed to identify priorities and infrastructure needs to enable the Blue Mountains to realise its 25 year Vision.

This vision is to create safe and accessible pathways of travel that improves our connections with our destinations and each other and encourages people of all ages to walk for everyday transportation and enjoyment.
