Consultation has concluded

Blue Mountains City Council has developed a draft Public Memorials Policy to guide Council's role in the assessment and approval of memorials to people, groups or events that are proposed for public lands across the Blue Mountains.

The draft Policy and Guidelines aim to ensure that proposed memorials on Council-managed land are relevant to the place in which they are proposed and in keeping with the purpose of the land. The draft Policy also provides an assessment and approval mechanism for memorials in public spaces.

Formal submissions can be made online and comments are welcome and encouraged until 5pm Friday 10 August 2012. (A hard copy submission form can be downloaded from the Library section of this forum).
