Wentworth Falls Lake Park is getting a number of improvements, thanks to Blue Mountains City Council and grant funding.

Everyone Can Play

A replacement play space is coming! The older play area at Wentworth Falls Lake Park (west of the pirate ship) is 22 years old, so it’s time for an update. Given it is a very popular location and needs to be replaced with a similar sized play space, Council secured $200 000 through the ‘Everyone Can Play’ grant which will top up Council’s contribution of $400 000. We want you to choose your preferred option, through our survey. Both options available have a nature-based style, with adventurous and inclusive elements for over 7 year olds.

The survey finished on Sunday 17 January 2021 and we will update this page once all the feedback has been considered and the final design is complete. You can still view Design Option 1, Design Option 2, Comparison Table and download our colouring in sheet for the kids!

Western Sydney City Deal Liveability Program

This proposal includes an accessible walkway over the dam wall, improvements to the dam wall to support that walkway, a new accessible viewing platform and a new multi-purpose shelter.

The project will be funded under the Western Parkland City Liveability Program, which is part of the Western Sydney City Deal (WSCD). The WSCD is a 20 year-agreement between the Australian and NSW governments, and the eight local Councils of the Western Parkland City.

Plan of Management and Masterplan

We are also continuing to draft a Plan of Management and Masterplan for Wentworth Falls Lake Park after community consultation throughout 2020. We still need your help to shape these documents and look forward to showing you how these plans are coming along, in 2021.
