We’re excited to announce that Wentworth Falls Lake Park will be the next recipient of an upgrade, thanks to the Western Sydney City Deal Liveability Program.

The proposed upgrades and funding will include an accessible walkway over the dam wall, to a new accessible viewing platform, improvements to the dam wall to support that walkway, and a new multi-purpose shelter.

We are also completing a Plan of Management and Masterplan for Wentworth Falls Lake and need your help to guide these documents that will determine the future use of the park. These plans will include the City Deal upgrades, as well as a broader plan for the park.

Developing Plans of Management, and finalising designs is a long process. Council is required to follow certain steps, and get approvals from other Government departments along the way. This can take a long time to complete.

There will be community engagement on both the City Deal upgrades, and the Plan of Management. We have decided to postpone face to face community engagement activities due to concerns relating to coronavirus (COVID-19). However there will still be opportunities for you to be informed and provide your input along the way.

This project has been funded under the Western Parkland City Liveability Program, which is part of the Western Sydney City Deal (WSCD). The WSCD is a 20 year-agreement between Australian and NSW governments, and the eight local Councils of the Western Parkland City.
