Help shape the future of Katoomba

Since late 2020, Council has been working with the community and key stakeholders to develop the Katoomba Masterplan.

The Katoomba Masterplan is a 20-year framework to guide revitalisation, development, and investment within Katoomba.

It sets the strategic direction for land use decisions in Katoomba and will assist Council in organising and prioritising projects and works programs, preparing strategy and applying for grant funding. The Masterplan will also guide private investment by clearly presenting Council’s and the community’s expectations for Katoomba.

How to share your feedback

You’re invited to share your feedback on the draft Katoomba Masterplan via the draft Katoomba Masterplan Survey and via the submission form. You can choose to do one or both of these.

The outcomes from all engagement including survey responses and submissions will be included in a Community Engagement Report for Council’s consideration and decision.

Please note, quotes from feedback received during consultation may be published. Council may also publish feedback in full, with appropriate consideration given to redaction of personal details. Please refer to the Submission Policy for this project for more information.

Community Information Sessions - these information sessions have concluded.
We are holding several community information sessions and walking tours, focusing on the draft Katoomba Masterplan. If you would like to learn more about the draft Masterplan, see the sites included in the plan, and speak directly with staff, please register to attend one of our information sessions.

We have a great range of session types and times. Registrations are essential, so make sure you book your place.

Information session (1 hour) with optional walking tours of Katoomba:
- Friday 28 October, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, 10am – 12.30pm
- Saturday 29 October, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, 10am – 12.30pm
