The Council has prepared a number of Draft Plans that provide details about the services, facilities and infrastructure the Council will provide and proposed related expenditure. The following Draft Plans are on public exhibition from 9 April to 7 May:

  • Sustainable Blue Mountains 2025—this Plan identifies the long term priorities of the community and the Council’s and other agencies response to these priorities
  • Delivery Program 2010-2013—this Plan is about the services the Council will deliver over the next 3 years and includes the 2010-2013 Capital Works Program
  • Operational Plan 2010-2011— this Plan is about the specific actions the Council will deliver in 2010-2011 and includes the 2010-2011 Budgets, Rates and Charges and Fees and Charges

Proposed Increase to Rates (Special Variation)
The Council is facing key funding challenges in maintaining existing levels of services and assets into the future, including provision of bushfire and emergency service responsiveness. The Council is proposing to seek approval for a Special Variation to rates. To find out more see the related item at

    Draft Sustainable Blue Mountains 2025
    Since the adoption of the Blue Mountains City Vision and Map for Action in 2003, a number of new community priorities have emerged and have now been included in Sustainable Blue Mountains 2025. These new priorities include responding to climate change, looking after groundwater, supporting a child and friendly City, encouraging sustainable food initiatives and addressing issues related to the ageing population.  Are there any other new priorities for action?

    Draft Delivery Program 2010-2013
    The Draft Delivery Program 2010-2013 includes the 2010-2013 Capital Works Program. The Council is responsible for renewing and maintaining several hundred million dollars worth of built assets. Do you have any comments on the proposed 2010-2013 Capital Works Program?

    Draft Operational Plan 2010-2011
    The Operational Plan provides the details of services and specific actions  and projects that the Council is planning to complete in 2010-2011. Do you have any comments on the proposed services and specific actions and projects planned to be delivered during 2010-2011?
