Yellow Rock Link Road

Consultation has concluded.

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking to engage with the communities of Yellow Rock and Winmalee on the concept of the provision of a link road from the Yellow Rock area to the Penrith local government area.

There has been significant community discussion and comment regarding the accessibility for the community of Yellow Rock and Winmalee during periods of emergency, particularly during extreme bushfire events.

    Council would like to thank the community for their interest and participation, in Wednesday night’s  public meeting on the Yellow Rock link road proposal. Over 80 people attended , taking part in a constructive discussion on this concept. We will keep you updated on Have Your Say and also on Facebook.

  • Public Information Sessions

    Two informal information sessions will be conducted to provide an opportunity for the Yellow Rock and Winmalee communities to discuss the concept of a link road and provide feedback to Council on any issues associated with this matter. 

    Council staff will be available to hear community feedback and answer questions from the community.

    The information sessions will be held at the Winmalee High School Hall on:

    • Wednesday, 3 December 2014 from 6pm to 8pm
    • Saturday 6 December, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm.
