Background Information
The Yellow Rock Community Space Project aims to develop an area within Yellow Rock Reserve (the Park) that can be better used and appreciated by the community. It also provides an opportunity to engage the Yellow Rock community in the ongoing recovery from the October 2013 bushfires. Further project details can be found in Frequently Asked Questions and the Library.
Progress to date:
An initial community meeting was held regarding the project at the Winmalee Guide Hall on Saturday 8 November 2014.
A Steering Group of community representatives has been formed to assist Council in guidance of the process.
A survey was forwarded to Yellow Rock residents, and local schools during December 2014 to provide input on what people were seeking in the community space.
A Draft Plan for the park is currently being developed. This is expected to be on public exhibition for review in late March / early April.
Meeting notes for the initial community meeting and the Steering Group Meetings can be accessed from the Library section of this page.
