Council is reviewing our Corporate Waste Procedure on how we manage waste as an organisation which is everyone’s responsibility.
This procedure sets a framework to manage and reduce the amount of waste produced, and the amount of waste ultimately going to landfill.
The draft procedure outlines:
- Waste sources as an organisation
- A waste management matrix for common waste types to address administrations and cultural facilities
- Specific waste management matrix for 4 locations including libraries, aquatic and recreation facilities, depots, and outdoor operations
- How we measure, evaluate, and improve waste management as an organisation
More information is available in the Draft Corporate Waste Management Procedure document.
Submissions can be made below between Friday 4 October until 5pm, Friday 18 October 2024.
