Consultation has concluded.

Council is currently conducting a periodic review of its Privacy Management Plan. The draft Plan will be exhibited for 28 days from the 30 March to 27 April, with comments accepted for 42 days up to 11 May 2015. You can view the draft plan by clicking on the download available on the right hand side of this page.

We would like to encourage residents to consider the draft and make relevant submissions. The present draft is designed to be a more streamlined reference tool for clear and ready access by both staff and members of the public, and will also be a primary document for staff privacy training. Key legislation underpinning this policy is the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW).

Additional helpful resources for understanding your privacy rights can be found at: www.ipc.nsw.gov.au. This review is also timed to overlap with Privacy Awareness Week (3-9 May 2015) which is an initiative of the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities to promote privacy awareness.

Council is committed to protecting your privacy. Please make your submissions below or contact council via council@bmcc.nsw.gov.au.
