Temporary road closures at intersection of Govetts Leap Road and Wentworth Street

As part of the Blackheath Village Centre upgrade works, temporary road closures around the intersection of Govetts Leap Road and Wentworth Street will occur on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 June.

These temporary closures are necessary for the construction of three raised pedestrian crossings which will improve pedestrian safety at this key intersection.

Construction locations and timeframes (weather permitting).

1. Westbound lane closure on Govetts Leap Road and full road closure on Wentworth St at the south side of the intersection (between Sutton Lane and the intersection). 7am to 5pm, Tuesday, 25 June 2024

2. Eastbound lane closure on Govetts Leap Road and full road closure on Wentworth St at the north side of the intersection (between Hydora Lane and the intersection). 7am to 5pm Wednesday, 26 June 2024

Traffic controls and detours will be in place, to help minimise disruption for the community. Access to footpaths will remain open.

Traffic management maps for each of the work locations above are available at: www.bmcc.nsw.gov.au/blackheath-village-upgrade

Some noise and vibration will occur during the construction work. However, efforts will be made to eliminate and mitigate noise and vibration where possible. We apologise for any inconvenience or disturbance while these improvements are constructed.
