The BMCC Asset Management Policy is currently under review by Strategy and Corporate Services.
The Asset Management Policy was last adopted in 2022. It accompanies the Asset Management Strategy which is part of the Resourcing Strategy currently being reviewed as part of the Integrated Planning and Reporting cycle.
The majority of Council services provided to the community are supported by assets. The purpose of the policy is to outline the objectives for the safe, effective and efficient management of Blue Mountains Council community assets to deliver and support these services.
The updated draft removes redundant terminology and provides greater focus on the following three core principles to direct asset management:
Asset management practices consider full asset lifecycle.
Data and information are critical digital assets.
Effective asset management is an organisation-wide responsibility.
The draft policy is attached (see document, right) and we invite and welcome any feedback or questions, which can be submitted via the submission form below or emailed directly to mdaley@bmcc.nsw.gov.au
Submissions can be made between Tuesday 18 February until 5pm, Thursday 27 February 2025.
