Sinclair Crescent Carpark Upgrade update

The one lane closure and contraflow traffic controls on Sinclair Crescent, opposite Wentworth Falls Lake, has been extended until 15 August 2025.

This has been caused by complications during the excavation of gas services (including finding a significant amount of rock which took more time to excavate) which has had a flow-on effect to the timing of other necessary carpark construction works. These factors have been outside of Council’s or our contractor’s control.

While the contractor has been able to prioritise other work on-site during this period, the first stage of the carpark is now anticipated to be complete in late September/early October.

Stage 2 of the carpark upgrade is scheduled to start as the first stage is completed. Designs for the second stage of the carpark upgrade are currently underway. As part of the designs/approvals and construction of Stage 2, the westbound lane of Sinclair Crescent will continue to have intermittent closures until work is complete. The contractor and project team will aim to keep these closures to a minimum and updates will be provided to the community.

Temporary closure of Sinclair Crescent footpath

A small section of the footpath along Sinclair Crescent, opposite the carpark upgrade works, will be temporarily closed from tomorrow, Thursday 24 July, to Friday 1 August 2025. This is to allow for the construction of the new pedestrian crossing. A short, signposted pedestrian detour across the grassed area will be in place while this section of path is closed.
