The proposal largely addressed concerns raised by residents and visitors. The one matter raised consistently in submissions was that the proposal provided insufficient car and bus parking.
Council has further refined the designs to provide additional car and bus parking. Council is exhibiting two options, the difference being the location of the bus parking. The designs provide an increase in parking from nine to twenty-two spaces, including three for buses. Each design is accompanied by a signage plan showing orientation and regulatory signage.
The proposed designs also include a nominal position for a future pit toilet. Construction of a pit toilet at Lincolns Rock is not included in Council’s 5 Year Pit Toilet Asset Works Program. Several submissions raised the provision of toilets as being an issue. Based on evidence a pit toilet is not warranted, however this may change in future so a nominal location has been shown as a contingency in the designs.
All interested persons are invited to provide feedback on the revised design options by using the form below or writing to: the General Manager, Blue Mountains City Council, 2 Civic Place/Locked Bag 1005, Katoomba NSW 2780. You can also make a submission by emailing council@bmcc.nsw.gov.au. When making a submission quote Reference F11194. Submissions will be accepted until Friday 19 October 2018.
