The draft policy is available in the Document Library on the right hand side of this page. Please use the Submission Form tab below to provide your response, or email your questions or comments directly to mtrezise@bmcc.nsw.gov.au.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this feedback process.

Target audience: Executive, managers, team/program leaders and key staff who have governance responsibilities, including strategic planning, reporting and internal committee representation. This consultation is open to all staff. The current submission process is for staff only, with Councillors to be consulted later in the process.

Background: The Governance Policy is a new policy. It is primarily for reference by staff and Councillors. Council is required to have in place a governance system of robust checks and balances to direct, control, monitor and ensure accountability and transparency in the provision of Council’s operations. This policy is intended to codify the existing mechanisms and framework in place for governance at Council, including key principles and responsibilities.

It is anticipated that this policy will be adopted by Council and publicly released.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this feedback process.
