Council has prepared its Draft Educational Assistance Policy and invites the feedback of all BMCC staff.


Key points

Education Assistance Policy changes:

  1. Section 1 and 1.1 – minor wording changes only
  2. Section 1.2.1 – brand new section, explains how each reimbursement of fee option works
  3. Section 1.3 – brand new section, explains how reimbursement of other fees & charges works
  4. Section 1.4 – brand new section, explains how textbooks and other educational resources works
  5. Section 1.5 – brand new section, explains how release during work hours works
  6. Section 1.6 – brand new section, explains examination leave works
  7. Section 1.7 – brand new section, explains no automatic access to higher classification having done study
  8. Section 1.6 – brand new section, explains how/when Council may withdraw support of an employee under this policy


Scope

The updated Policy relates to all BMCC staff.
