NSW Seniors Festival: Blue Mountains Events 13 - 24 February 2019

The NSW Seniors Festival is held in February and is accompanied by a month long program of events organised by Council and other community services. The annual Blue Mountains Seniors Week Recognition Awards is an important part of the Seniors Festival, with the presentation to be held at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub in Springwood on Tuesday 26 February 2019.

The Awards acknowledge the contribution that individuals and organisations have made to the seniors of the Blue Mountains community.

Nominations for the Seniors Week Recognition Awards closed on Monday 11 February 2019.

Seniors Week: Nomination Form 2019

Nominations close Monday 11 February, 2019. 

The Seniors Week Recognition Awards acknowledge the contribution that individuals and organisations have made to the Seniors of the Blue Mountains community. 

There are two categories of nomination - individuals or organisations.

To be eligible for an individual award the nominee must be 60 years of age or older and have made a significant contribution to the lives of older people in the Mountains. 

To nominate an organisation, the organisation must support older people in our community.

Examples can include:
  • Seniors that volunteer to do activities that benefit the community.
  • Organisations that contribute to the well being of Seniors through the raising of funds e.g. Rotary
  • Organisations that provide services to older people.
  • Seniors that have demonstrated leadership in the community e.g. taken up leadership positions within community groups.

Previous recipients of a Seniors Recognition Award
cannot be nominated.
