Project Update - Dec 2023

Within Mount Victoria Memorial Park, work is well underway on the upgrade of the storm water swale, to deliver a new Water Sensitive Urban Design solution.

Remaining works for the park's carpark upgrade are expected to commence in early 2024.

Other works to come at the park, as part of the Mount Victoria Village Recovery package, include:

• A new formal entrance to the park at Station Street with paved entry and seating.
• New village entrance sandstone plinth in keeping with the heritage streetscape.
• Accessible footpaths linking Station Street, the amenities block and village carpark.
• Removal of the existing path from Station Street to the amenities block, which is in poor condition.
• A new sculptural artwork by local artist, Clara Hali. Read the media release.
