Consultation has concluded.
Disability Inclusion Action Plan
Help us to make the City of Blue Mountains a better place for people living with disability to live, work and visit by helping us develop a Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).
As part of the NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014, all councils are required to undertake disability inclusion action planning and produce a plan every four years. We have drafted the Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) 2022-2026, and it is now available for you to provide your feedback.
What is the DIAP?
The DIAP is a report on our goals to improve disability inclusion throughout the local Blue Mountains Community.
Inclusion is everyone's business, and providing access and equity for all, regardless of their abilities, is critical.
The draft DIAP 2022-2026 outlines how we will enable people with disability to access our services and facilities, in real and meaningful ways.
This is our second DIAP, and it builds on the principles included in the first, and explores further issues identified by people with disability in our community.
The public exhibition of the draft DIAP 2022-2026 has now finished, and all feedback is being reviewed.
