Destination Stewardship Alliance Advisory Group (DSAAG) Expressions of Interest
Help shape destination stewardship in the Blue Mountains
Blue Mountains City Council is inviting Expressions of Interest to join the Destination Stewardship Alliance Advisory Group (DSAAG).
The DSAAG is a volunteer advisory group that supports Council and the Destination Management Plan Steering Group by providing advice on destination stewardship. This includes how we engage the community, visitors and stakeholders in caring for the Blue Mountains while supporting a sustainable visitor economy.
Council is seeking up to 12 members from a broad mix of backgrounds, including representatives of community, tourism, business, government, environment and First Nations. Members will bring local knowledge, experience and connections to help guide collaborative approaches to destination stewardship.

Expression of Interest (EOI) Submission Process & Instructions
Council invites interested members of the community to submit an EOI to Council when Membership vacancies are advertised.
All enquiries or requests for information should go to Simone Novello, Locked Bag 1005 Katoomba NSW 2780, council@bmcc.nsw.gov.au or 4780 5126.
A panel of no less than three (3) members of the Destination Management Plan Steering Group will assess EOIs against the selection criteria.
Recommendations for the appointment of the DSAAG will be made to the DMPSG for approval. All applicants will be notified of the outcome within 30 days of assessment. All decisions of the assessment panel are final.
Requirements:
1. All EOIs must contain a completed application form, located in the information pack which is downloadable on the right of this page. If you wish to provide any relevant documentation, please attach this in your response.
2. Your EOI should be marked F16288 - Expression of interest – Destination Stewardship Alliance Advisory Group and addressed to Council via one of the methods of delivery below:

4. Please note that the names of appointed volunteer members of the DSAAG will be reported at the Council meeting, making the information public in the Business Paper and Minutes. The agenda and minutes of the DSAAG will be made public via the Council website including the names of members. The member’s email address and agreed contact details will be used by the Council (Liaison Officer) and shared with other members of the group to facilitate communication amongst the members of the group. By submitting an expression of interest, you are agreeing and consent to this use and disclosure of your details in this manner.
5. Completed applications along and any supporting documentation must be submitted to Council by 5pm 15th February 2026. No late applications will be accepted.
