Please help us increase community awareness and use of the Community Recycling Centre. We'd love to know more about your current knowledge, attitudes and behaviours regarding Household Problem Waste.
Community Recycling Centres (CRC) are funded by the EPA and operate at Katoomba and Blaxland Resource Recovery and Waste Management Facilities. This is a FREE service to help residents safely dispose of household problem wastes which shouldn’t be put in kerbside bins. Many of these materials can be reused and recycled if processed correctly. Information about our Community Recycling Centres can be found here.
Complete this survey to provide feedback on your CRC user experience and go into the draw to win one of 3, 10 x Visit Leisure Centre Passes - $189 each, or one of 3 Blue Mountains Theatre Vouchers - $190 each. T&C's are listed below.

Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter is Blue Mountains City Council, Waste & Resource: Blue Mountains City Council – 2-6 Civic Place, Katoomba, NSW 2780. ABN 52 699 520 223
Entry is open to Blue Mountains City Council residents aged over 18 years as of Friday 1 July 2022. The competition is open from Friday 1 July – Friday 22 July 2022.
This is a competition of luck. Six (6) eligible winners will be drawn, at the end of the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to draw reserves in case of an invalid entry or invalid entrant.
By entering, Entrants understand that they will need to provide their information to the Promoter in order to claim the prize.
To enter, Entrants must complete the Community Recycling Centre survey.
Each winner will receive a prize consisting of either ,10 x Visit Leisure Centre Passes valued at $189, OR a Blue Mountains Theatre Voucher valued at $190.
The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on all competition entrants and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will be contacted via email or phone.
Successful entrants are required to respond within seven (7) days of receiving the original message, or the prize is forfeited. Six (6) winners will be notified by Blue Mountains City Council.
Blue Mountains City Council staff and their immediate families are not allowed to enter the competition.
If for any reason this promotion is cancelled or is not capable of running as planned, due to an intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event or events run in accordance with this competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
The personal information you provide in entering this competition will be used by the Promoter to conduct the competition.
In case of an emergency Blue Mountains City Council will use the contact details supplied by you when entering this competition.
