Background Information

The original Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Exhibitions Policy was approved by Council in June 2012 and enacted when the Cultural Centre began developing its program for the Blue Mountains City Art Gallery.

In order to ensure a considered, strategic and transparent approach to exhibition selection, an Exhibitions Policy provides the foundation for the Cultural Centre’s exhibition program and aligns with the aims, objectives, vision and mission of the Cultural Centre as a whole.

The reviewed Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Exhibition policy (Attachment 1) has been developed to assist in the selection of exhibitions to be displayed within the Blue Mountains City Art Gallery, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre public spaces and Braemar Gallery. The policy outlines the process of selection together with the 4 distinct exhibition programs: InHouse, Travelling, Expose and Braemar Gallery.
