Introduction to the Encroachment Policy and Procedure Consultation

Blue Mountains City Council is preparing an Encroachment Policy and Procedures to ensure clear guidelines are in place for managing encroachments on public land. The aim is to safeguard public spaces while providing transparency and fairness in addressing encroachments.

The draft encroachment policy and procedures outline:

  • The definition of encroachments on public land
  • Procedures for identifying, assessing, and managing encroachments
  • Steps for resolving encroachments, including communication with property owners
  • Strategies for preventing future encroachments
