Concept plan feedback
Council has prepared concept plans for upgrades to the Station Street pedestrian mall and is inviting interested community members to provide feedback. Your feedback will be used to inform subsequent design phases of the project.
The plans provide a reconfiguration of the existing pedestrian thoroughfare to create a new central town square for Blaxland with flexible use facilities to enable social interaction, community events and activities:
- Improved paving and pedestrian accessibility
- Improved lighting, seating and areas for outdoor dining
- Tree plantings, landscaping and water-sensitive design
- Improved accessible parking near Station Street Mall
- Public art and improved signage and wayfinding
- Tiered seating and public amphitheatre
