Draft Amendment 2 to Development Control Plan 2015

The purpose of draft Amendment 2 to Development Control Plan 2015 (DCP 2015) is to provide design guidelines and development controls for certain Strategic Tourist Sites included in the Planning Proposal for Amendment 3 (Strategic Tourist sites) to LEP 2015.
The Planning Proposal for Amendment 3 and the associated proposed DCP controls were exhibited in March/April this year. Following the exhibition period, a number of the exhibited DCP controls were further refined, as a result of review of submissions and a further detailed review by council officers. As a result it was considered appropriate to re-exhibit the amended DCP controls.
The Planning Proposal seeks to introduce a new standard instrument zone (SP3-tourist) into LEP 2015 and as a result, certain controls (such as landscape and signage requirements) within the DCP required updating. A list of the changes to the DCP as a result of the introduction of the new zone, as well as a list of the proposed precinct controls for the each of the Strategic Tourist sites included in the amended Planning Proposal is available as a download in the Document Library.
NOTE: It is expected that the amended Planning Proposal for Amendment 3 (Strategic Tourist Sites) will be forwarded to the Greater Sydney Commission in the next couple of weeks and that the exhibition of the amended DCP controls will run concurrently with the Planning Proposal process.
