What happened to Blackheath Caravan Park?
Blackheath Caravan Park was included in the Planning Proposal which was
exhibited in March/ April 2017, however following a review of the large number
of submissions opposing the proposal to rezone the site to SP3-tourist zone, it
was decided that a similar strategic outcome could be achieved without rezoning
the site. The amended Planning Proposal indicates that the site will retain its
current zoning and provisions, however the northern 5 lots (council owned land)
will be included in Schedule 1 of the LEP 2015 as permitting with consent
‘eco-tourist facility’.
