Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this link

The purpose of this planning proposal is to make a housekeeping amendment to the Blue Mountains Local Environmental Plan 2015 (LEP 2015). The proposal seeks to correct mapping anomalies that have been identified since LEP 2015 came into effect.

The proposed corrections are consistent with Council policy and will restore Council's intent to transfer provisions from former LEPs into the standardised format LEP 2015.

The errors and anomalies include:

  • incorrect transfer of mapped provisions;
  • inconsistent application of provisions;
  • historic mapping inconsistencies translated into LEP 2015;
  • a provision amended on one map theme that was not made to subsequent map themes.

Mapping of LEP provisions is a primary source for land information and the accuracy of the mapping is fundamental to this valuable resource and maintaining trust in the mapping.
