Whether you are on foot, moving with the help of a mobility device, or pushing a child in a pram, walking is an important part of life for everyone.
Walking and bike riding benefits everyone's health regardless of our age, and safer pathways and crossings help communities to stay healthy and spend quality time together.
Walking and riding are economical modes of transport, that help to reduce noise pollution on our streets and make an important contribution to a more integrated and environmentally sustainable transport network for our city.
What is an Active Transport Plan?
The Active Transport Plan aims to create a cohesive, accessible and safe active transport network that serves both residents and visitors of the Blue Mountains.
The plan will provide a framework to prioritise future infrastructure investment, guide short-term and long-term delivery of active transport links and transform car-dominated road corridors into vibrant, people focused spaces.
